When will the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 take effect?
On Monday 4 April 2016 the new Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 came into effect. This new Act will mean that organizations are required to conform to the new elements required within their Health and Safety systems. While the new Act 2015 does not have a transition period, organizations are able to amend their health and safety systems as soon as practical.
What is certification?
Accredited Certifying Bodies provide inspection and certifying services to organizations that require certified Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental management systems. These inspections are conducted every 2-3 years so as to retain your certified status. the certifying elements are based on AS/NZ 4801, ISO 9001; 2015 and ISO 14001; 2015.
What is the process for certification?
This is a 2 stage process. First you need to purchase a system that meets the certifying standards. These standards (AS/NZ 4801, ISO 9001; 205, ISO 14001; 2015) must then be implemented within your organization for a period of time showing its working effectiveness. Secondly once implemented within the relevant guidelines you are then able to apply for certification by an accredited authority.

Yes, if a change to the law, legislation or standard is enacted from two years of the date of purchase an update will be provided free of charge. As the new Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 has just been introduced and the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 were also introduced in 2015 your systems will be upto date for many years to come.
What format do the documentation files come in?
All systems are Microsoft Word and Excel formatted which can be edited and updated according to your requirements. Simple and easy to use these systems require very little data entry. Apple Mac users can also instantly edit the files using a .doc/.xls compatible free software like OpenOffice.org.
